Ethical principles for article publication
Ethical principles for article publication
The journal’s ethical principles adhere to the Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors issued by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Accordingly, the Scientific Editor, Editorial Director, Editorial Board, and Advisory Committee promote good research practices and may identify irregularities or misconduct by contributors. The following principles apply:
Originality: Submissions must be original; they must not have been previously published nor be under simultaneous consideration elsewhere. If information is taken from external sources, proper citation and referencing are required as per the author guidelines.
Consent: All authors provide consent for submission, review, and publication via the Authorization Letter for Publication and Distribution and the Author’s Letter and Declaration of Originality, in accordance with the journal’s instructions to authors.
Authorship: Everyone who contributed to the research must be included, without omission, in the original manuscript. The order of authorship is determined by the authors according to their contributions and must match the order stated in the aforementioned letters.
Transparency: The journal implements an anonymous, objective, consistent, and constructive double-blind peer-review process. Reviewers have no labor, academic, or personal ties with the authors.
If the Research Journal of Le Cordon Bleu University detects and confirms plagiarism or other forms of misconduct in a published article, the Editorial Committee will proceed in accordance with COPE guidelines, which may result in retraction.
The editors reserve the right to reject manuscripts that do not comply with these guidelines. The author(s) are responsible for the content submitted in the manuscript.
